Stone in Sand – from a beach on the Outer Hebrides

The Stone in sand image is from a beach on the Outer Hebrides – I love the calmness of the stones on this particular beach. They are large round and heavy! This beach is a small beach that are difficult to get to because you have to step through a field and around private land. But once on the beach you can spend a few hours walking around the stone and photographing them. I solely used the Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens on this stop and you can see have sell it render such a scene – nice a calm....

Yellow Iris (Iris pseudacorus) – The Outer Hebrides

The Yellow Iris (Iris pseudacorus) captured on Harris the Outer Hebrides. This was one the first day we spent on Harris after arriving from Isle of Skye in the beginning June. We arrived very early so had a long day we used walking out on the east coast near Scalpay Lighthouse. We saw minke whales just of the Coast and we had some time at the light house where we took these images of the beautiful Yellow Iris with water drops in the old lighthouse garden.
