Black and White Dairy Cow resting on the field in between producing large quantities of milk for the human population in South England. Together with Maria I have been on a job taking images of cattle from different farms on Isle of Wight.
It’s a pleasure spending time with cows – I don’t think there are more trusting animals – the way the cow get closer and closer to investigate you and your equipment. It can be a bit disturbing and can make it hard to concentrate on what you are actually doing!
Anyway we got a tons of images and had a very good time on the different farms we visited. The black and white dairy cow in the image above is of the Holstein breed which have prominent udder and less muscle than is typical of beef breeds. I’ve edited the image in Adobe Photoshop to fit the style of my other images from Isle of Wight.
