My first puffin in the wild! The Puffin image was captured on Shetland with the Canon 5D Mark II with the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS early in the evening on my second day in this birds paradise.
I’m surprised how close you can get to these birds and how close they will get to you – to get the image I was curled up until the legs were asleep and the back was hurting. It was such and amazing experience to be so close and watch how the puffins came in from the sea with their beak full of fish. Sadly as much other wildlife these funny bird are in decline and RSPB are doing what they can to monitor and protect their habitats and the surrounding sea.
I hope you enjoy the image.
