When we first arrived on the Outer Hebrides or Western Isles of Scotland we decided to go for at walk out to the beautiful Scalpay Lighthouse. It’s a beautiful walk that takes you along the coast through a varied landscape. Scalpay has one of the earliest lighthouses in Scotland and even though the walk is a bit tricky to follow it is definitely worth the effort. You follow the coast and have beautiful views of the coast and sea.
We were lucky to see Minke whales out at sea and many birds and flowers among some Yellow iris at the old gardens of Scalpay Lighthouse. The image of the lighthouse was captured with the Canon 24-105mm f/4 zoom lens using slow shutter speed.
